My frank interview with Dr. Lynne Kenney – a practicing paediatric psychologist in Scottsdale, AZ with advanced training in forensic psychology and developmental paediatrics.

She is the author of Bloom

Today on #Bloombrainsmarts the UK’s respected parenting expert Sue Atkins and I have a frank conversation about helping complicated, intense, or behaviourally disruptive kids in the classroom. Kids and teens can push your buttons. Remaining calm in the moment, providing strategies, and co-regulating with the child or teen helps the child build better skills for a lifetime. As a teacher sometimes we are fed-up and want to give-up, but when we hang in there with consistency, kindness and accountability we can truly help kids succeed.
