I am absolutely thrilled to have been nominated for The Woman’s Hour Power List.

The Woman’s Hour Power List will rank the 100 most powerful women in the UK at the start of 2013.

Woman's Hour Power List Which women have the biggest impact on our economy, society, politics and culture? Who has the ability to inspire change as a role model or a thinker? Does power boil down to having the money to make things happen? And has new technology changed what it is to be powerful? The Woman’s Hour Power List will survey the achievements of British women across public life and offer some measure of the progress women have made in society. We hope to shine a light on the top female politicians, business women and leaders in their field – from areas as diverse as finance, education, health, engineering and the arts. And we will ask how much power these women have in modern Britain?Woman’s Hour is asking you to suggest the women who you think have the greatest influence and ability to change the way we live our lives in the UK today. We will pass your suggestions on to our panel of judges.

The judges will compile the Woman’s Hour Power List from your suggestions, listening to expert witnesses from almost every sphere of life. Our judges will bring a wealth of experience to the table in making their decisions.

The Woman’s Hour Power List will provoke debate about the choices women make, the obstacles they face and what it is to be powerful in the 21st century.
